why we started
software should show its work.
most operations software asks for trust it has not earned. numbers arrive without their working; reports disagree with each other; the truth lives in a spreadsheet someone keeps on the side.
we started yuktija to build the other way around. that thinking became DhiGati, our own product — and it shapes the custom erp and manufacturing systems we design for businesses whose processes don't fit anything off the shelf.
we started in 2026, free to build from the first entry rather than around someone else's decisions. that is not a gap in this story; it is the advantage.
the idea underneath
what a ledger of record is.
it is what DhiGati is built on, and the clearest example of how we think about software.
a ledger of record is the single place every operational event is written once and never re-entered. a sale, a goods receipt, an expense claim and a field visit all post to it. reports are read from that record rather than assembled from copies of it.
most operations software keeps a separate store per module and reconciles them afterwards. reconciliation is where numbers drift: two stores hold two versions of the same stock figure, and the month-end argument becomes a question of which one to believe.
writing once removes the argument. when a sale reserves stock, that reservation is the same entry the stock report reads. when a receipt settles a purchase, the payable closes because the entry closed it, not because someone marked it closed. traceability follows from the arrangement instead of being bolted onto it.
